First issue published in mid 1973 to replace 'Aircraft Illustrated Extra' (see below). Similar in style and layout to the monthly 'Aircraft Illustrated' but concentrated on a single theme in each issue (eg: aircraft photography, the Space Shuttle, Fleet Air Arm history). The most noticeable changes from it's predecessor were the adoption of A4 page size, (at least 2 years before 'Aircraft Illustrated' increased its page size to A4), and the significantly increased pictorial content. Each issue comprised 40 pages, with one or more b+w photos on almost every page and two pages of colour photos. The last issue was No.57, published in 1986.
