| PANAIR DO BRAZIL ORIGINAL MAIL BAG Paniar was acquired from NNYRBA by Pan American Airways, Sept - 1930 They began with 4 Consolidated Commmodore & 4 Sikorsky S-38 flying boats The aircraft were staffed by American crews until 1935. Most of the routes were within Brazil except for the Rio to Buenos Aires route In 1946, they were equiped with Lockheed Constellations and began trans-Atlantic service. They also used DC-7s & DC-8s. Their business continued until 1965, when they declaired bankruptcy. $20.00 |
